Although soyfoods have been in Asian diets for centuries, soyfoods have recently gained considerable awareness by the general public. There are many reasons for this including media exposure highlighting the benefits of soy; greater availability in mainstream grocery outlets and new exciting formats (chilled soy beverages). There has been a heightened awareness of the health benefits of soy in recent years.
